The Voice of “Han”

On a Saturday night in Gwangju, South Korea, we purposely arrived early for the Daein Night market (one of the best night markets in Korea that I've experienced). Since we were early we took a wall around Art Street, a neighborhood I frequented while I lived in Gwangju. I wanted to share this with my travelers. Art Street seemed to be completely shut down but then we heard faint music and started to follow it, and found ourselves in a dim alleyway that led us to a garden at someone's house. We found these singers performing traditional Korean music called Pansori.
