Sam & Owen

Sorry for the late reply, it has been busy for us! We wanted to thank you for your efforts with the honeymoon. IT WAS GREAT!

Below are additional details of the hotels but overall they were amazing and we had no complaints. Food was excellent too but we both agreed our favorite was in Venice at a random place that was open, which I believe was called Osteria Alla Bandiera, the first night.

In Paris, the hotel was very accommodating. They even called us to let us know when our tour guides arrived. As for the dinners, the food was VERY different everywhere we ate and it is safe to say I never had any of these dishes before. Between Verjus and Le Jules Vernes, Verjus was the winner. We did the tasting menu for both and added the wine tasting at Verjus. For Verjus, the menu options were all delicious and gave you a comfort food type feeling since it was chicken and vegetables. The presentation of it was excellent and it was placed in beautiful plates and bowels during each course. Le Jules Vernes was beautiful and the experience was amazing; the Eiffel Tower was something I always wanted to see and it was such a memorable moment. Comparing the two, the food was in smaller portions and the presentation of the chicken was the oddest thing I have ever seen haha It looked like a carrot, please google if you ever have a moment. We also had 'roast buckwheat ice cream' for the first time and it gave me a scare because it tasted EXACTLY like nuts. Who knew! I also wanted to add that the side car tour was a GREAT idea to start with! It is something we both talk about now, we ended up having sidecars (the drink) at the Ritz after our guide told us they invented it.

Our hotel in Venice was exactly like the pictures. It was gold all over and I loved it haha The staff were great as well. They provided us a map and told us about the complementary boat ride to watch where they make Murano glass. They also have a great cocktail bar that had delicious drinks and was a great stopping point to map out our next day. Everyone was extremely friendly and it was a great location.

Our hotels in Florence were great as well. Ill Borro is simply breathtaking and it gave us a resort type feel. The room was like our own apartment and had an outside which was perfect to sit and have a bottle of wine; which we did of course! Overall is was very relaxing and exactly what we needed after such a busy month. Grand Hotel Minerva was a quick stay but it was a perfect location and the staff was excellent as well. As soon as we got there, they provided us a map of spots in walking distance to visit. They also have a great rooftop that overlooks the city. That night we ran into the hotel's owner when she happened to be at the bar with us tasting cocktails for their upcoming menu. She provided us a few samples too and it was fun to chat with her and the bartender. For dinner, she recommended their restaurant after telling us they just won an award and it was very good as well.

I know this email was so long but if you want additional details, I am more than happy to let you know.

Best,

Sam
